Board Chair Message

The EPIC ‘Ohana Board of Directors is excited to welcome Delia Parker Ulima as Executive Director, Kuhikuhina Nui, of EPIC ‘Ohana. Delia has the heart, vision, and skills to carry forward our mission “to strengthen ‘ohana and enhance the welfare of children and youth through transformative processes that are respectful, collaborative, and solution-oriented.”

For 15 years, as the Program Manager of HI H.O.P.E.S, Delia has implemented the EPIC vision that every young person is entitled to connections with family, connections with supporters, and opportunities to succeed. In her professional and personal life, Delia builds pilina, and true to the EPIC vision, honors family connections and family strengths. Her creative innovation and deep commitment to the values, culture, and people of EPIC ‘Ohana will ensure that EPIC continues to be transformative, empowering, and effective far into the future.

As we welcome a new leader, the Board extends a deep and heartfelt mahalo to Laurie Tochiki, who has successfully steered EPIC through some rough waters during her tenure as Executive Director and is leaving EPIC stronger than it has ever been.

The Board is grateful for the solid foundation of work and values built by our first two Executive Directors, Arlynna Livingston and Laurie Tochiki. We are thrilled to begin this next stage in our EPIC adventure with Delia leading us forward.
