Administrative Specialist (Full-Time, Honolulu)

Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Kaeru Services contract including but not limited to general office work. Assist in scheduling Recorders for each Kaeru meeting statewide. Assist in finding and securing venues when needed for Kaeru meetings. Provide logistical and clerical support for work groups and team huddles. Responsible for occasionally providing child care, when necessary. Recording work, when needed. Tracking Flex Funds transactions and ensuring follow-through. Typing up Recorder notes within a specified timeframe for Kaeru staff. Assist Wrap Manager, Youth Partner Supervisor, and related staff with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to general administrative and clerical support.

Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning and a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the Foster Care System (DHS-CWS) strongly preferred. Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, be self-directed and work with minimal supervision. Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required. Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle abstract, and access to an insured vehicle. Must maintain an ethical, responsible and professional attitude and demeanor under all circumstances in person, by phone, e-mail and correspondence, in order to effectively and efficiently engage and maintain working relationships with families, professionals and youth who are undergoing complex and crisis situations. Successful criminal and child abuse and neglect background clearance as required by state regulations for those who work with children and families in the Child Welfare System.
